I don't think it's about demographics as much as brand recognition. I don't think people of either side of the chromosome pool will be likely to forget the brand after that!

yeah, but, "i'm never gonna buy from them!" is the kind of brand recognition they could presumably do without? or maybe "all publicity is good publicity" is true...
