Vintage®VHE100Series in blue, as it happens. awful! bridge was just too far forward to get the intonation right, and the paintwork on the neck protruded beyond the fretboard and cut my fingers to ribbons. sorted that with wet and dry, but the bridge problem was terminal. sold it pretty quick!

Just for my curious mind, what was so bad about the competition? I have 2 Splawn and love them more than my family, but I guess tone is very much a personal thing.

For me my worst buy was the ENGL Powerball, never got a noise out of it that I liked and it was always lost in the live mix no matter what I did with it. :?
