Some new riffage with bridge Mule

Finally got my interface back off my mate who was borrowing it so fancied making up some new riffage. Tuned down to drop d in Eb, drop db/c# I guess you'd call it? Havent posted a clip for a while so thought I may as well..

Anyway I only got to use amplitube 2 because I'm still at uni, might re-record when I get home next week as I finally ordered a mic stand :lol:

Thats sick man, how do you do your drums by the way? I struggle so much with the drum side, i need to get that element sorted!

what settings are you using on amplitube? I never got it to sound that good

Cheers :) Adam, I use Ezdrummer for drums, programmed in reapers midi editor. If you want I can do a quick tutorial for getting it all up and running, or is it the programming side you have problems with? If so I cant really help you because it just sort of comes naturally to me somehow..

JDC, it's the modern hi gain amp, indysmith made a patch called engl savage or something which I tweaked a bit. It's double tracked, the left one uses the el84 poweramp and right uses el34 100w. Its not really the kind of sound I go for as its a bit harsh/fizzy and modern sounding but it works well enough for now :)

I just realised this main riff sounds quite similar to Ghosts Along the Mississippi by Down :\

any pedals before the amp for boosting? just noticed the mule is listed as vintage pickup on the main bkp site, I wouldn't have expected that kind of tone, shows how much I know

Well I find that using a modeller seems to mask a lot of the real guitar sound anyway, at least with amplitube 2 and my v-amp 2.

I think there might be a tubescreamer in front of the amp on the preset, if you want I can send you it?

Man i love how heavy the Mule can get. I don't know why people are always saying you need high output pickups to get a good metal tone. This is proof thats its all about your setup.

I agree :) Though I find its a lot easier to get a metal tone with my mules using a modeller than a proper amp, though I guess my amp isnt really a typical metal amp, Laney GH50L. Its not really tight or saturated  enough, but I guess with a boost and some 6L6 valves itd do it pretty well :)
