Thank you!
For the NB finish options, I'd like to get the same than pictured on the BKP website (homepage > products > Nailbomb)
http://www.bareknucklepickups.co.uk/ZH-nailbomb.html
What is this finish? Is it a special order? on the online-shop, I can't find the same...
That's the Custom Camo cover.

Bear in mind that they're hand distressed so no two look exactly the same...

Yes, I have no doubt about it, it's just like flamed tops.
But I found this :http://bareknucklepickups.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=584.0
I plan to send Tim a few pictures from this link, ranked to my tastes, and I think he'll figure out what he could do to fit my wishes... What do you think?
Oh, and what about the NB / CS match, can somebody comment?

Oh yeah, I meant to answer that before but forgot

Cold Sweat neck is a great match for any of the high gain bridge models.  It has a nice clean sound but enough punch & low end for noodly high gain lead work (sweeps etc) & works well with the Nailbomb (in fact that combination is quite popular on the board).

Yes, but most camo finishes I saw don't look that beaten.
On another hand, I prefer 10 times the "splatter", "oil" and "rust" camo finishes rather than the others. I don't like the camo finish on the BKP website with the engraved "NAILBOMB" letters at all, so I don't want to get that kind of "camo" if I just order a "camo" finish, even without the engravement.

Aye, just leave a comment on ordering that you rather have 'splatter' rather than long scratches. Just be specific. Whatever you want he can do, to an extent, otherwise it'll cost more. But when it comes to camo finishes anything you want WITH a camo finish (i.e. splatter, distressed, $%&#ed up beyond sense, battered up war-torn, etc.) he can do. And obviously point out you don't want the engraving.

If they don't look that beat, tell Tim to put a hammer to it. Figuratively. Not literally.

I already mailed him a pic of the guitar I want to upgrade, and two pictures of different finishes (found on this forum) I like.
When I ask him what would be the best pickup for me (I gave him about the same description as I did here), he first suggested the Nailbomb, and after my first reply, he said than the Painkiller could fit the bill, too, maybe even better. But reading the reviews and taking care of your advices, I tend to go Nailbomb... :? I know Tim has first hand advices, but it just made things more complicated than they already are!! :)

Painkiller vs. Nailbomb... How do they compare? (output / bass / mid / treble / which one is the best for : chords clarity / palm-mutes / pinch harmonics / single-note riffing / staccato / clean stuff / etc.)
Thanx! ;)

Humm good, but I think sending it in the box for commentaries when you make the order won't get your hand cut and will be 100% safe of showing what you want

Remember he get hundreds of emails everyday... will be hard to track yours, IMHO...

They're totally different pickups, but both excel at the stuff you've listed there. The Nailbomb is a pretty fat, crunchy-sounding pickup, with lots of output, but still retaining a bit of PAFish clarity. The Painkiller is thinner-sounding, with stacks of upper mids and treble, harmonics galore, and top end that's a bit harsher. The Nailbomb is a lot looser than the Painkiller, but not muddy, while the Painkiller is basically the pickup Rusty Cooley needs (that is, the tightest, most articulate pickup around).

Personally, I prefer the Nailbomb because i found the Painkiller a bit harsh and thin for my purposes (more ballady instrumentals), but it might fit your bill.
