electric wiring? which wire is best?

im re wiring my old epi and was wondering whats the best type of wire to use from the 3 way switch to the pots etc? can i get it from maplin? how much should it cost? i have new cps 500k pots and am hoping to give it a new lease of life with the vh2s! thanks

I would recommend the 22AWG vintage style cloth wire for connecting up the internal pots etc and then using the vintage style cloth covered with braid from the volume pot "hot"  to the output jack.

Electrical wiring in general refers to insulated conductors used to carry electricity, and associated devices. But the best is the wire that can fit to the electric that you can put.

Considering that most stomp boxes use thin-gauge plasic wire and most modern amps use circuit boards, I doubt that changing wires in a guitar will make much of a difference in tone.

Better to focus on stuff like speakers and cap values, where a small change will make a bigger difference.
