It depends on the valves you choose. JJ 6V6s are quite middy and a bit EL84-like as they respond to gain very well, plus they're quite warm sounding. If you chose Tung-Sols instead, you'd get a more Fender-like clarity to the tone, but they wouldn't break up quite as smoothly.
JJ 6V6s may be a bit smoother than their EL84s and you could have Martin tweak the amp for a bit more bass if desired?
