Has anyone tried these? The other guitarist in the band is developing GAS towards it and I was wondering what anyone here thought of it?

I know nothing of it, but it is BEAUTIFUL. And it has the better side of Dean headstocks.

I'm pretty sure that there was a review of this in Guitarist magazine at some point in the last year - can't remember the issue it was in although seem to remember they quite liked it. I'll take a look when I get back from work tonight.

Indeed there is a review of the Japanese high end model in Guitarist. Not sure what issue, but from what i can remember they said it was fantastic.

The Sl is a really nice single cut guitar, I think a lot of players can attest to the quality of the Japanese made guitars: The Dean SL is no exception. I own the US Slotero Prototype, it is loaded with Painkillers and it is as sweet sounding as it is effortless to play. The biggest difference between the US and Japanese model is that the US has an Ebony fret board and the Japanese model has Rosewood, the rest is all easy enough to mod to your liking.

that guitar reminds me of a fretking that was on display in a shop I sometimes frequent. The contours were different though.
Very nice re-imagining of the LP though I'm not too sure if I would want one off the back of its looks...

They're made by the same people who do the Ibanez J customs, so I'd imagine the quality is top notch.
