^ yeah, that's exactly what worries me too. you can get MIJ fenders for quite a bit less, and based on the MIMs I have tried, they're likely to be a lot nicer (and other japanese copies of similar quality would be even cheaper again), or you can get USA reissues for only about £100 more (assuming the road worns sell at close to the RRP). I'm biased because i don't like relics, to me it's paying more money for something i like less, but i'm not sure of the wisdom of buying what is effectively a mid-range guitar, for a pro price. especially when you can get pro quality instruments for the same price or less.
Also, as a regular at the tokai forum pointed out, the neck finish would appear to be urethane, not nitrocellulose. that's another big problem, especially with fender trumpeting its nitro finish...
