Guitarist magazine collectors - a favour please?
« on: January 05, 2009, 01:27:44 PM »
Does anyone have Guitarist mag #255 from October 2004?  This issue reviewed the PRS Modern Eagle and I'm interested to know what they thought of it.  I've tried to get a back issue, but they don't have any copies that far back.  Plus I've tried eBay and it's not there at the moment.

If you've got the mag, could you scan the Modern Eagle article and email it to me?

Please drop me a PM if you can help.  :)

Cheers!

Sorry Dave - I started collecting it in November 04!

There is one for sale in the US though:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Guitarist-Magazine-(Oct-2004)-Lennon-%2F-Grohl-%2F-The-Edge_W0QQitemZ250336324936QQcmdZViewItemQQimsxZ20081203?IMSfp=TL081203111008r29906#ebayphotohosting

Might be worth a cheeky question to the seller about the PRS review!
I think I hate being indecisive.

Cheers Ian -  I don't think I can ask the question to the seller!  If it was me, I'd just say buy the mag off me!

That's really common on e-bay. I said yes to 2 requests just like that last year on some items I was selling.

Ask him if he can scan and e-mail it for a £1.00 paypal payment.
You would be suprised how many people take the opportunity to do a good deed when they get a chance.

The worst case is you get a no or lose £1.00

I'll dig it out later and scan it tomorrow, if that's OK?

(Unless anyone else comes forward in the meantime!)
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

Philly - do you fancy scanning all of your back issues and sending them to all of us? I would be happy to contribute £1.00 (no more than that though!!)  :P

£1 a page maybe....

Actually, I don't think I'd bother even then.  I did once scan a whole magazine, and watching that little line of light crawwwwlllllllllllllllllllll across each page then crawwwwlllllllllllllllllllll back again was so tedious.  Nearly lost the will to live.

I can appreciate that!  Thanks for the help Phil, you're a star.

As you can probably tell, I'm still researching rosewood necked guitars...

I'll assume their summary says: "Alright guitar. Gold AND silver hardware  :? Hysterically overpriced."
