Replacing Seymour Duncan '59 neck and Custom Custom bridge
« on: January 07, 2009, 08:26:05 AM »
I ordered a BKP set for one of my babies (NB bridge & CS neck) just before X-mas, and even before to receive them, I'm already thinking of ordering another set for another axe.
I'm wondering what BKP's would be a good replacement for a Seymour Duncan '59 bridge, and Custom Custom neck?
Thanx by advance!

I am about to replace those very pups with a set of calibrated Holydivers in an Eggle Berlin, I hope to report on the outcome soon. What guitar is receiving the new pups?

I guess it depends which aspects of the '59 and Custom Custom you're unhappy with :)
BKPs (soon): CS, TS.
Ex-BKPs: Abrax, NB, SM, PK, Mule, WP.

I plan to load the NB and CS in my beloved Washburn Idol WI68 US  ('59 in the neck and the Custom Custom in the bridge).  The stock pickups are pretty good, but I'm looking for something even better! Since I bought a new amplifier and cab last year, and since I'm more than happy with my guitar, the pickups are the next thing to upgrade. And I want to give BKP a try anyway! God is in the details...
