Actually, some glam rockers describe their music as 'trash' so I thought the thread was about that..! Which ain't really tHrash by any stretch of the imagination. ;)

the 'miracle man' get frequently mentioned for thrash, its certainly my favourite for early megadeth. i wonder why not this time - perhaps the poplar body?

Well, I've just tried the CS bridge in my Hamer Centaura (Swamp ash, maple neck and fretboard) and it kinda blew me away (didn't really test it at very high volume). I must say, this is pretty much what I'm looking after for replacement of the SD Custom in my RR.
Seems to be somewhat in between SD Invader and Custom (at first test). Reminds me very much of Nevermore (Politics of Ecstacy-sound). Has also a little of Master of Puppets in it (and even AJFA  :P).

I don't feel like making the effort to test the Painkiller in my Rhoads anymore, and just mount the CS  :P 8)

Can't wait to hear it in the RR.

yeah the cold sweat is my favorite ceramic pickup ever  :D :D :D
I had the duncan custom, miracle man, painkiller, emg 81, gibson 500t, bill lawrence l500xl and played others like duncan distortion, dimarzio super distortion...
the cold sweat has like the best qualities of each one of these without the downsides!
Riff Raff, Mules, Black Dog, VHII's, Cold Sweat

sounds like a cold sweat should be a common household item!

so i finally decided to buy some bareknuckles :D
i asked tim and he told me to take the Painkiller bridge humbucker and Riff Raff neck
humbucker - this is a combination he's currently using himelf and they're
perfect for classic aggressive thrash tones combined with pure cleans
from the neck.
