nailbomb/ColdSweat 7 string 6505+ clip
« on: January 10, 2009, 10:14:14 PM »
I did this really quickly today, I had to do all of the rhythm tracks too
(someone wanted to hear how it compares to a JSX).
I like the lead tone I'm getting here. (I love this pickup set thru  the 6505+ )
The playing is rough (went to the gym and did back and arms , then came home
and tried to Play Petrucci with very little warm up)
the mix got screwy when I mixed down to an MP3 too but whatever
I'll re do this all the way thru with my Mesa Mark III and re post it (these BKS like my Mark III too)

that was really tight, those pups sound really damn great.. awesome playing as well. Could you please share your 6505+ settings and which cab you've been using when recording? Just to try and compare the difference. thx

thanks, but this came out way worse than I had hoped it would.
I'm actually in the process of re mixing the rhythm tracks and re recording the lead tracks so
I'm not choking on my own fingers :( :( :( :(
6505+settings
lead channel
bass 6
mids 6
treble 4
gain 5
low res 6
pres 4
thru a REcto 2X12 cab.
I'm running a clean boost in front and I have an MXR 10 band EQ in the loop
I think the EQ in the loop really helps to smooth out the 6505+ tone a lot.
