It sounds like a cliche, but the McCarty model sits between a Strat and a Les Paul (but closer to a Les Paul). I find they have the power and fullness of tone of a Les Paul, with some of the clarity and feel of a Strat. They have the Wide Fat neck, which is just chunky enough and feels fantastic. 22 frets and warm and round sounding McCarty pickups make it what it was designed to be - a modern take on the old Les Pauls.
The Mira on the other hand, sits between a Tele and an SG. Loads of snap and a brighter tone. Incredibly versatile and superbly priced.
I used to think they were all too fancy looking, but their tone and playability completely bowled me over. They're very consistent from guitar to guitar, and straight out the box they're flawless, well set up and giggable.
You're welcome to try mine out any time :)
