Or apparently maple top guitars !!

I personally don't like the tone of maple top guitars so Iwouldn't buy one, but I think the SCs look superb  :)

Err..I probably misread that....you meant you wouldn't buy 'one', but would probably buy 'two'

By the way, lovely Modern Eagle ...all this PRS love prompted me to buy a Standard...very impressed with the set up, finish, playability. A 'plain jane' compared to the Modern Eagle but still has all the good PRS features. Will probably follow Philly Q and fit a covered set of Cold Sweats to replace the HFS/VB.

Yeah, I know what I've said re. maple tops in the past.  I think it was a combination of average woods and singlecuts that I couldn't get on with.  Oops

I like birds on the right guitar.  I like 'em on the ME  ;)

My absolute #1 guitar is my 21 years old Les Paul Standard.

I've played/gigged with it a lot.

My absolute #1 guitar is my 21 years old Les Paul Standard.

It's been played/gigged a lot.

It's my favourite Les Paul in both tone and playability. It's not too heavy in weight and not too light either, it just feels right. I wouldn't describe the tone as bright or dark...it has a very rich, clear, warm and full tone. For me it has that perfect thick LP tone without being over the top.

Calibrated set of Holydivers.

Are you Adam Jones from Tool by any chance? :P

Very cool looking guitar, always had a soft spot for silverburst Les Pauls.

Good age too, same as me!

AHHHHHHHHH!!!

Get it off that stand. It might ot be, but it looks like one of the stands you get under all sorts of names, Stagg and so on. They tarnish Nitro finishes horribly!

Ted 'N' Leo:

Thanks for your nice comments. I'm not the man himself, haha. The funny thing is that I didn't choose for the Holydivers to sound like Adam...The Divers seemed the right fit for this Silverburst Les Paul. The HD is sort of based on the JB. It's not only great for hardrock, but it does great cleans as well.

nfe:

You're right about the guitar stand! I hate it, in every aspect.

Would match my Goldburst :P Yeah they look cool, I can't understand why they are so expensive though, the burst on those colours isn't as subtle as they can do it on sunbursts, if you get what I mean. It has to be, by nature of the colours more of a blob burst
Have seen a few with Kahler's on going cheap though.
Anyway, don't thikn I have posted my number 1
