LIke Phil, the first link doesn't work for me either but I assume that you are trying to do the opposite of what I was hoping to do:-

I was hoping to take the Lyre Vibrola from my old SG Standard and fit it on the '61 Reissue in the hope that the finished article would look something like the SG Standard looked when I origonally bought it (i.e cherry finish with an unbroken neck). However as Dave and Philly have mentioned it is not straightforward. If I had removed the stop tailpiece on the '61 reissue the post holes would still be partly visible outside the fitted vibrola and would have to filled and refinished. As my refinishing skills on the Standard amounted to painting it with woolworths black polyurethane paint,  I decided to leave well enough alone.
Never had any tuning problems with the Vibrola. (very early SGs had the 'side pull' model which apparently was notorious for going out of tune and sometimes breaking as it was made mostly from cast zamac (sort of zinc alloy))
