Doug (Mr Blackmachine) happens to be a very good friend of mine. Which email did you use? If there is a problem with a business email he would want me to tell him.

Cheers

As he says, Martin's the guy to speak to if you're having problems with getting emails through to Doug.

I find that calling Doug is the easiest way to get hold of him. It's rare to get through to him first time, but if you leave a message he generally gets back to you within a few days.

Just remember that he prioritises building guitars over answering emails, which is fairly comforting since you know that when he's working on your guitar, he'll be giving it all his attention.  :)

I know Doug sometime has problems with emails as I had several bounce back. However, he gets the job done once the order is in,  and a great job it is. I have one of the B6 models with open Nailbombs....Sweet!

Ha!!
It would be many many  times worse if you had actually played any. All of them that I've tried have simply been phenomenally well built and set up.
Good luck getting in touch with Doug  :)

dheim, put your name down on the growing list then! It's going to be a long wait, at least a year. Plenty of time to save, but it'd be well well worth it

Thanks for that, I let him know and he will get around to it ASAP. He is currently on a build and very little distracts him.

Then it's soon to be his most important build *cough* my B2, which after seeing Doug the other sounds as though it will end up quite exotic  :D  :D  :D

Interesting, you're not going for a 7 any more then? What timber have you gone for, or would you rather keep that a secret?  :)

I am fairly nifty with a 7 but 6 strings will always be more natural to me and probably most poeple. On that basis as its going to be my numero uno axe I decided to go for a 6. Purely for the hand feeling 100% at home in an enviroment it doesn't have to think about. I will more than likely then put my name down for a 7 at some future date and hope to come into some wonga.

I want to keep the woods secret for now as there might be some changes when I visit Doug (he has been wood shopping). However the finger board will most likely be a wood thats naturally two tone, creating a very dramatic effect. Also I can tease the South Americans in serious hats this way :)

Pickups will be Painkillers
