The abalone is what put me off this guitar too more than anything (tony showed it to me too)

I can't stand the stuff, its vile! in my eyes, it's to make cheap guitars look more expensive.

I like abalone on some guitars... on others it doesn't work. But I would hardly say this was done to make a cheap guitar look expensive!  :D

If we all liked the same thing wouldn't life be boring?

Did they have a competition to design a gutiar won by a AD&D fanatic?

I quite like the 12th fret markers, like on RAN guitars.

Speaking of RAN, the euro is absolutely crazy- I got a quote of 2300 euros. Christ almighty!

wow... that's had the opposite effect on me, that makes an EXTREMELY expensive guitar look cheap to me... or at least, tacky.

but yes, it would be boring if everyone had the same taste :) i'd guess this is just a personal gripe.

I've seen a double neck Dragon in PMT in Birmingham... they still have it. And when I go in, I do look at it in total amazement at the design, the materials used and think about the hours that it must have taken, BUT... would I want it? NO! It really does not make any sense to me... yes it's a work of art but that's it for me, but for the folk who love it that's cool. They must be at least £20,000 plus.. I can't any players buying it... imagine taking that to your local pub gig!

This has become a 'Who likes Abalone' than a 'NGD' tbh, lol..

I like the Dragon guitars. Even though they're the price of a piece of art with multiple expressions you could get a baby to make something and call it art.

But at least on a Dragon you can play it :D
