Martamp
« on: January 30, 2009, 04:21:05 PM »
i heard some of you guys here talk about martamps, and i heard some great clips so i set about ordering one,
as ive come to pay for it,  the only available option is direct bank transfer, obviously im a bit weary.
has anyone here actually bought anything from martamp with this method?
Thanks.

I don't think you'll have a problem there, mate, Martin is often around on these forums, as are many of his customers (and 'co-developers', eh Twinfan?!). Besides, as a payment method it's as easy/painless/trouble-free as any other. Go for it!
Oh, and be sure to post back clips and pics when you have the amp!

I've given him cash for everything I've bought, and he's the other guitarist in my band  ;)

Buy with confidence!

Thanks for the support chaps, appreciated.

Not sure why you'd be worried about direct bank transfer; it's a great method for paying for things and is free, unlike Paypal who charge 3%, then hold onto the money for 5 days! It also entails ME giving you MY bank details! Some trust there surely?
I do accept Paypal though, but normally add the fee to the amount, as I don't have the margin to continually be losing 3%.
I also accept cheques and cash.

Hope you feel reassured Luke, all the best.

Now Martin hisself has posted, I feel comfortable posting this:

... and he's the other guitarist in my band  ;)

Wot, you've never been ripped off by a fellow band-member?!  :o

Seriously though - I'd feel very comfortable with a direct bank transfer, Paypal gives me the willies

And though I've never met him or conversed with him, I've watched him support other customers on here - and I'd feel very comfortable doing business with Martamp if I was after amplification :D

i tend to do stuff by bank transfers as well, the only risk is to the person giving out their account number but i know most big companies do it i.e. most bills you recieve have an a/c and sort code printed on them for direct payments

although i still find this funny:

Another happy Martamp customer here. I bank transferred all appropriate monies to Martin. He communicates well, and will stick to his word. Deal with Martamp with confidence.
