What makes you happy?

I stopped smoking about a year ago. Though admittedly, because I generally smoke Churchill and Corona sized, large gauge cigars, I probably still smoke an equivelant of a two/three packs of fags a week, but that's only a couple cigars on a friday and saturday, though more if I'm out at any special event or weddings and whatnot.

Aside from anything else, it's too bloody expensive! I've a full humidor just now, so fingers crossed I've got a good six months in it!

It is a little upsetting sometimes when I think, you know, I've spent £500 on cigars and whisky in the last few months, think of all the NOISE MACHINES I could have bought  :lol:

...being able to go see live music every now and then...reading Hemingway....or Philosophy in general....an occasional toke when the missus is away....ME TIME..I would do anything to have a week to myself.....and BEER...and WINE....
I always go back to when I was a teenager as well-getting the new "Guitar for the Practicing Musician" magazine, full of tabs, and rushing home to fire up my little amp-that was special!!!!
...did I mention beer..??

Some good beers, being in York with my best mates, perhaps a cigar every now and again. Having a really good session playing guitar (when i'm playing well, and the rig sounds better than it did the day before). Being behind the mixing desk in a good recording session is nice too, when the musicians know what they're doing! :) And also building guitars... i think i get more pleasure from building them, than actually playing these days; theres something about taking some timber and crafting a musical instrument from it, that gives such a sense of accomplishment.

Seeing other people being happy!

I second that. Playing live is all that keeps me sane.

Not watching 24 hour news channels, too much doom and gloom! Or reading the papers, whats the point! Read a good book instead.

I used to smoke roll ups, up until a year a go but I don't miss it one bit. I sometimes get that nicotine need but just ignore it now as its not that strong. So won't go near a cigar or any kind of smoke at all. I can see why some of you like cigars though as they're really good some of them and I did like them. I did like a joint sometimes but gave that up two years ago as it just screws your head up. After reading some websites on smoking....I'll leave it there on smoking I think.

Beer of all kinds! I love the stuff, I'll try anything. If I'm in the pub for a long time then tend to go with something ordinary. If in doubt drink Guinness.

Wine is nice, not when I'm out though, just indoors.

Whiskey is just the best drink ever. After trying a quite a few over the years, I tend to buy the Islay single malts. Can't stop getting Ardbeg at the moment!  :D

A good curry sometimes but prefer Italian food more these days.

Waking up ( relatively ) healthy

My beloved cats

Spending time with people I love

Learning new stuff ( especially stuff connected to the guitar and growing musically ).
