need help with 4-conductor pickup options
« on: February 02, 2009, 01:19:59 PM »
:) hi, long time no see guys

I need some help...

The situation:

I'm ordering a cold sweat for the neck and a nailbomb for the bridge with 4 conductor. I will install 2 pull/pots so I can have more tonal options. (guitar only has 2 knobs - neck volume and bridge volume)

I'm after ultimate versatility...

so I wanted to know what sound options would you recommend for each of these particular pickups?

thanks

sweet set of pickups, i'd say...  :)
why 2 PP pots? with just one you could already have a great range of sounds... H bridge, H+H, H neck and S bridge, S+S, S neck...
anyway i love the "parallel" wiring that some ibanez guitars sport in position 2 of 5 way switches, that's the only combination i can think of with another PP... you could parallel connect both bridge and neck, this way.
HOW is a different thing, i'm obscene with the solder and my knowledge of wiring is at least doubtful...
Mule, MQ, Stockholm, CS, RY, MM, PK, ANB, CNB, AWP, CWP, PiG90...

too many? ;)
