Wiring a 4 conductor PG neck pickup in parallel.
« on: February 07, 2009, 01:40:46 PM »
Hi all,

I have a set of Peter Green pickups with 4 conductor wiring.

Currently I've got them wired in phase. I knew how to do this,
on the neck pickup leave Green/White soldered together and swap Red/Black.

This works fine, but now I want to wire the neck pickup in parallel.
Originally I had a push/pull pot to switch the neck pickup between
series/parallel but I don't want to go back to that option.

Long story short - how do I wire the neck pickup in Parallel ?

Kev.

Permanently in parallel, with no series option?  Like this:

Red & White : Hot
Green, Black & Bare : Ground

I'm not sure if that will leave you in or out of phase with the bridge pickup, but you know how to fix that!

Welcome to the forum, by the way!  :)
