As you may have guessed, i am bored. But yeah i was thinking about this and decided that the acoustic singer songwriter thing gets the most. If you play a girl a tune on an acoustic and sing to it then you're officially in.

BTW the poll excludes mainstream pop stuff because girls will obviously go for that just for the money.

I feel a bit "old" for this now, but when I was gigging, playing blues/rock in pubs did attract wimins, but the singer/songwriter thing in the bedsit was far more effective :lol:

For a certain age ('fraid it's us Philly), you don't need to play even, just put some smart casual on and go to a Donny Osmond concert - there is LOADS of wimin there and you can take your pick, on the basis of just showing up!

I took the wife a few years back, Hammy Apollo - it was actually really good, btw. During the interval she wanted a loo break, so I stood in the upstairs foyer waiting - twas a wonderful experience, it was packed, I was the only male there, and I was the complete centre of attention :lol: (Of course, if I'd been single it would have been entirely different :roll:)

God, Joe Pass was so cool.  I don't really enjoy listening to that kind of music but I would love to be able to play it.  Wouldn't have the slightest idea where to start, though.

They'd be a bit old though, wouldn't they?  :lol:  I try to be a sensitive, non-superficial type but (like most of us, I suspect) I still tend to be looking at young, pretty girls women even though I am (scarily) old enough to be their dad  :( .  Guess I need to re-align my sights.

Couldn't turn up to see Donny or David Cassidy on my own though, could I?  That would be creepy.  I'll have to sound out some of my female friends...

The reason i put guitar w**kery there is because I imagine some girls like insane guitar w**kery as it means your skills will always get you a good job somehow so you won't be poor haha.

But if you spend your time practising scales all day you won't get to put the girl to good use, so i think we can forget that.

All i need now is an acoustic and a girlfriend (that doesn't hate me for finding out i cheated on her :lol:  :( )
