you cannot possibly turn that above 1 without suffering damage...

I bet that will cost a lot to retube!
I had to look it up to try and understand, still don't understand though :? therefore it must be clever

The back of that head scares me a little
a lot going on
hows the new style halfback cab? I got one of the older model steel grill ones with the EV's and c90s.
destroys everything, most of all my back when i have to lift it  :?

hey

thanks for all your replys :)

Very nice!

How're you finding that cab?
i like very much the half open side with the c90 for the cleans, the tone is really blooming out of the cab!

i only had chance to turn it up at proper volume at another place, and i was glad that i got the RK instead of a Rect Cab with 4x12 V30, which is still great, no question about that.
but i will mainly use it for recording, so the versatility was very important to me..and also compared the V30 to the c90 for the cleans ensured me that i done the right decision.

you cannot possibly turn that above 1 without suffering damage...
that is unfortuntly very true.. so i will hurry up with the treatment on the basement room (about 30mē) so that i can actually play it at proper volume and proper sound, such an amp isnt sounding good with the volume knob almost turned down.

I bet that will cost a lot to retube!
I had to look it up to try and understand, still don't understand though :? therefore it must be clever
haha, i dont wanna think about a retube yet, but, i start saving for it :-=
i like the fact that you can select different output stages, and this also works great with external preamps.. so you can color the sound simplier without having the need different poweramps. but with all this techniques inside, its also a big risque of a malfunction or that something doesnt work properly.

its alot of knobs, but its relative simple ;)
you have totally 4 sepearated channels (2 cleans, 2 distortion)
each channel has the usual tone controls (Gain, Treble, Mid, Bass, Presence, Volume)
and on each channel you have a mini swith on the front which sets the soundmode for the channel (for example, Clean, Fat, Tweed, or RAW, Vintage, Modern)

then, on the backside you can set for each channel seperatly:
- a reverb knob
- you can select between 5 different output stages (2xEL34 or 2x6L6 or 4x6L6 or 2xEL34+26L6 or 4x6L6 or the extrapowerful 2xEL34 + 4x6L6.
- cabinet select A, B or A+B
- Rect Tube Mode or Diode
- Loop A or B active

then there is a slave out on the rear

and on the front, you have a master volume + a solo boost volume..

the sound-possibilities are really very much, nearly too much. but i knew that before, so i wanted to have actually alot of time to learn and get known the amp, the recording of our album shall start in a year or so, till then, im sure i figured out some nice sounds out of it (i hope so, haha :) )

cheers

Nice amp! All the knobs on it do scare me a little! I'm sure its not that bad when you know what you're doing.
