Young British "celebrity" Southern Rock fan?
« on: February 15, 2009, 12:26:45 PM »
It seems Lily Allen is into Molly Hatchet:

Probably NOT, in fact, but I wonder how she ended up with that T shirt?

Never heard even a comment of that band, latter will search on utube...

She asked for her dad for the oldest shirt he has, to make her look "dirty rocker"

Vintage T shirt vogue.

I saw a kid in the city wearing a Sad Wings Of Destiny shirt, I said something to him along the lines of, "Awesome shirt!" He agreed, but when I tried to discuss the album with him, it became clear that he didn't know anything about Priest, he just bought the shirt to be cool ... I walked away before the urge to beat him down became to strong.

Maybe she does.  But I think it's unlikely.

Is there's a cover of "Flirtin' With Disaster" on her new album I'll eat humble pie (not Humble Pie).

I dunno, she seems pretty switched on in the few interviews I've seen with her, a geniune love of a fair breadth of music I thought, I certainly wouldn't sit her alongside the gamut of other current pop starlets. There's a fair chance that's not the case, but I'd like to give her the benefit of the doubt.

I think it's a sad state of affairs when we assume that someone is wearing a shirt because it's cool rather than being a fan. I mean, most of my female friends into rock music certainly look like the people that buy Motorhead shirts from Topshop...I'd use my girlfriend as an example, but extreme metal shirts are a bit obscure for anyone to think it;s just to be cool

Was talking to a boy with a powerslave shirt the other day, who couldn't name a single song on the album...

My brother was telling me about a radio interview he heard - I can't remember the presenter or the guest, unfortunately.

Any way, the presenter was wearing a Ramones T shirt (there's one that's definitely seen as "cool", along with Motörhead!)

Guest:  "Ramones fan are you?"
Presenter:  "Oh yes, definitely"
Guest:  "So what's your favourite song?"
Presenter:  "Errr........................."

To be fair, he did apparently say he wouldn't do that again.

Man, she looks a state there.

Actually, I think she looks quite tasty there...

I'm a smoker, I prefer girls when they first wake up (compared to what they look like after doing their hair and putting on the make-up), I have a thing about girl's armpits...

Ok, I'll shut up now....
