the standard of your clips is ridiculously high these days hunter!

Thanks Gwem.

I am more and more getting the hang of the Axe/VHT2502 combination. Dialing in new tones happens very quickly now and I gather more experience in how it needs to be mic'ed.

Plus I had a long weekend and made some spare time for playing recently, so enough time to get the old bones into synch :O)

great tone and great playing!
what did you use to do the backing track? i was thinking about a set of mules for my les paul classic, but i have to say this is EXACTLY the kind of tone and dynamics i'd like to have on that guitar... so i should consider a VHII and a neck mule, maybe?
Mule, MQ, Stockholm, CS, RY, MM, PK, ANB, CNB, AWP, CWP, PiG90...

Thanks D!
Backing track was taken off an instructional DVD.

I think if you wanna play safe with your LP, I would go for Mules. Maybe follow Phil's recommendation of an AV bridge with an AIV neck. The VHIIs in an LP are hard to balance, it took me long to get it right, and only now that I strung it with a set of 10-50 roundcore strings it seems to be right. I think Mules would be more forgiving.

However if your LP is on the lighter side like mine, it might be a good match indeed. If you go for the VHII though, I would pair the bridge with the matching neck, as it's a very nicely balanced set!

Well, there is only one help for that :O)

However I gotta say, you still need a good poweramp and cab to have it right there. Axe direct didn't do it for me. Tone is great but the feel of a 12" speaker moving air - even at low volume - is just not replaceable.

Unfortunately for me i don't have the funds for a really good poweramp at the mo, unless i got a s/s one like the rocktron velocity, but after cranking up my Cornford Harly last night i know that i will miss the tubes!!

Very nice Hunter.  It's your last couple of VHII clips that made me decide to try my 'spare' set in my McCarty Rosewood...

I just imagined myself listening to this on an ipod around a campfire on a beach at sunset with an ice cold beer! Beautiful playing Hunter and that tone is making the hairs on the back of my neck stand up......... 8)

Sounds silky! The backing track reminds me of Since I've Been Loving You.

Yeah, it resembles. Basically it's from a licklibrary licks in C minor DVD, that is pretty much based on that song. I thought I'd get some new chops, but just no time (or patience?) to go through it. So I just took the backing and did some widdling on it :O)
