In the interest of balance and political correctness, are there any women or homosexual men that would like to contribute to this thread?  Many years of working in the public sector force me to ask the question...

Um, sir, this is, like a guitar geek forum. Lots (stricktly hetero) guitar and girl lust going on here, mostly because we don't have, like, girlfriends or other female people that we can engage in adult activities with.

Basically, one step above a comic book or action figure collector forum.

You want more women and gay dudes, go to an interior design forum and go wild.

Whoa there, Leslie!  I never said I wanted more gay dudes!!!  The thing is, statistically speaking, there are likely to be a few members of this site that play for Red Star Belgrade, if you know what I mean.  I was offering the hand of inclusion...

I don't get the comic book collector reference.  Playing the guitar is way cooler, in terms of coolness it's probably only surpassed by a black guy sitting in the window of an upstairs hotel room in New Orleans playing the saxophone, or possibly a cute posh woman playing cello...

Went out with some guys from work the other night, and I rarely go out these days, and was chatting to a bloke that I've worked with for nearly a year.  Turns out he's got a 1970s reissue Tele Deluxe.  Can't get cooler than that now, can you Roo???

Mind you, geeking out on a forum is pretty uncool... damn...

What's "cool" is very much a personal thing, though, isn't it?  Your New Orleans sax player and posh bird cellist just sound like boring advertising-industry clichés to me.

I'm sure comic book collectors think comic book collecting is cool!  :P

I wish you were right, I really do. Ever been to a musical instrument store and taken note of the kind of people who ooh and ahh over the latest fx pedal? We are not talking the cool kids in school here. You'll see more pimples than Clearasil.

(Les Paul people are debatably even worse. Think "DadAss." He's a 58-year old accountant, but he still brings the rock. Just he takes it with fiber supplements.)

I know, I stereotype much? ;)

I have fallen in love with

damn!

and, to answer the last off-topic posts, i'm heterosexual (has it become an uncool thing?), definitely practicing, and do many things in life, apart wasting money in gear i don't have any time or chance to play...
of course when i enter an instruments shop and see the crowd of nerdy kids who try to make themselves great in front of their nerdish friends playing metallica riffs at insane volumes (until the shop guy turns the amps down...) i don't think i'm in the coolest place on earth... but amateur music and gear fanatics world isn't just that, fortunately...

i just don't have any obsession with "coolness". or i'd play hip hop...

maybe someone could tell us "stop wetting yourself for woods, magnets and valves and get a life"... but everyone has got his obsessions, and i can't imagine A LIFE without passions or interests of sort, so...
Mule, MQ, Stockholm, CS, RY, MM, PK, ANB, CNB, AWP, CWP, PiG90...

too many? ;)

Ah, don't take me so seriously, Holmes. You like fooling with guitars, I like fooling with guitars, no need to worry about the opinions of some dude on the internet.

Anyway, the girl is cute but the "schoolgirl" outfits aren't my thing. Still you could do a lot worse than the girl occupying that outfit.
