How about Julliette Lewis?

i've met her a couple of times, she's lovely!  and much sexier in the flesh (as it were!)

Did she Scientologise you in the face?

Haha, no, actually the first time she started pulling off her top to show me her new t-shirt which it turned out she wasn't wearing!  second time it was just a few minutes of banter about that night's show, and a bit of piss taking about her eye makeup.   she was very nice, down to earth, not even vaguely Tom Cruise-like

Tom Cruise is one of a kind. Unfortunately for Scientology he's become synonymous with the religion.  :D

Scientology's problems don't start and end with Tom Cruise, he's a bastion of sense amongst the mentalists.

I liked it a lot.  The emphasis is on comedy and witty dialogue, it's funny but not quite in the Juno league.  Personally I could've done with more of the horror elements, but it works.

Megan Fox is a bit soul-less, but fortunately in this case she's supposed to be!    She's not bad really.  She gets top billing but the film is much more about Amanda Seyfried's character.

juno was funny?

amanda seyfried is really nice, though. wasn't she in mean girls? and mama mia... but i haven't seen it. honest. no really, i haven't.

Yes, Juno was funny!  :P

But the main reason I mentioned it was that both Juno and Jennifer's Body are written by the same person, Diablo Cody.

I'd never seen Amanda Seyfried before, but I have subsequently found out she was in Mamma Mia....  :|

Yeah, i felt the same really, although i thought it was a fairly good film, funny isn't the word i would use.

Apart from when the dad said he was going to punch Michael Cera's character in the weiner next time he saw him, i lol'd at that bit :)

hehe, i agree with ted 'n' leo, funny wouldn't really be the word i'd use to describe it, it was more a drama with some funny bits (the bit where the dad said he didn't know he had it in him was funny). It wasn't terrible or anything, but i'm a bit contrary, and anything which is hyped to the extent which juno was, I'm liable to dislike unless it absolutely rules.

and yeah, i know it was written by the same person. There was an interview in last saturday's guardian guide magazine with her, if you haven't seen it and want to, I could probably scare up a link to it on the guardian website.

A drama???!!!  A film can be a comedy and have serious bits - it doesn't have to be 90 minutes of wanking jokes and infantile face-pulling by the likes of Adam Sandler or Jim Carrey (not that I'm suggesting that's your definition of comedy!  ).  Oh well, it's a waste of time categorising things anyway.  We'll have to agree to disagree.

As for the hype, I saw Juno at the London Film Festival before there was any hype, so that's irrelevant to me.   It's not the fault of a film if it's hyped, the hype exists entirely outside of it.  The film deserves to be judged on its own merits. I think Juno's a great film, but there you go.

Sorry, way OT.

eh, i prefer my comedy not to be too serious.

i thought it was a decent film, but it didn't deserve nearly all the hype it got.
