From that map, it's the Old Street train station that is closed for the weekend, not the tube :)

I think that's right, there's nothing in the "planned closures" info on Transport for London saying Old Street tube is closed.

Well that sounds good. I've used Old St on Sat nights before. There are so many trendy bars in the area reliant on that tube station. When i saw that on the map, I thought it was a bit strange. Didn't think to check though! The lack of sleep i'm experiencing at the moment is leaving me rather confused!  :?

Diving in London on a Saturday shouldn't be too bad, but if you are going to be drinking then thake the tube or a bus.  I drive in London all the time when I am in England, but I have lived there a couple of times (if you add up all the time it comes out to more than 5 years, and I used to drive a lot). Of course it helps if you know where you are going!  If you want to try scary places to drive, Rome in rush hour is pretty interesting, especially if you don't know where you are going!
So many pickups, so little time

gwEm, what's the size of the room in feet and inches?

i don't know exactly, but indeed its not really that big. i booked it before i realised more than 3 of us would come. should be ok i hope (!) if we remove the drum kit

There's a bigger room in the same studio? You could try change the booking...

i'm out of the country and highly busy with work.

there are bigger rooms in the same space, but i have no idea if they're available

Oli, do you reckon the Charvel with the VHII will be there? I really want to have a go on a guitar with one in the bridge.  :D

I'm putting together a hardtail Strat with a VHII, I could bring it instead of the LP Jr.  Not sure if I'll have it finished by then though.
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds

Well, i've got a missed delivery slip here, so tomorrow i'm going down to the post office to collect it- i hope it's the VHII :) I think i can get it wired in within a week and a half ;) I'm looking forward to trying it too, the SD JB that's currently in there just doesn't really cut it for me.

I'll let you know tomorrow if the package is the pickup, it should be, I can't remember ordering anything else!

I'm looking forward to this, looks like we should have a nice selection of pickups- i'd like to try out the singlecoils, as i'm building a strat (or two!), but i've never had one before, so it's fairly new territory for me :)
