Well...don't $%&# your life, but enjoy it.

Rebel Yells have lots of chime, brightness and clarity. The middle position is out of this
world.

Listen to the Steve Stevens clips...that's what they're gonna sound like (in a Les Paul).

I definitely won't hate you for choosing any BKP over any other. I might, on the other hand, hate you for your total lack of punctuation. We won't even talk about that other topic...

cold sweat + les paul = MASSIVE CRUNCH HEAVEN

my guitar on the avatar had at least 9 bridge pickups (including some other BKPs) and never sounded so good as it does now

If you need a 'demo' so to speak, check the song I believe it was based off.

'Thin Lizzy - Cold Sweat'

For the Rebel yell, Steve recorded a demo especially for showing it off. Should in the library of clips that Jonny kindly arranged for us.

Well my main debate is the fact that the rebel yell is alnico V? and the cold sweat is ceramic i need a good clean (and dirt of course) with a smooth clear fat rhythm/ lead tone sweet highs very balanced punchy mids and very tight bass
Since my Les Paul is dark and thick sounding and I’m playing with a mark IV which is very thick and dark sounding as well I think the brightness of the Rebel Yell will be good for my set up also use 11-52 in Db Ab Db Gb Bb Eb So clarity is needed with a good clean.

If you've not owned a ceramic BKP before I wouldn't go pre-judging their nature. The Cold Sweat is amazing clean and dirty and I still think it's the right choice for you to start with.

the cold sweat is very bright and thick sounding and can do great cleans too
and its voicing is way more balanced than the rebel yell, imo
the rebel yell is an upper midrange monster
and from my experience, ceramic pups cut way better with Mesas than alnico pups
never played a mark, but I had a Recto and recorded and played a Triaxis (which is a Mark type preamp) a few times

if you're into any eras hard rock, classic or modern metal, the cold sweat will do a better job

Sounds good yea the upper mid boost would be a bad thing the mark series amps are mid beasts

Once again i settle with cold sweats nolly instead of buying a g system i got a custom port city 4x12 made for me :) ha.

not really
I love mids!
I always use a middy booster before the amp with any pickup
but in this case I still think the Sweat will cut way better
unless you want a more aerial, smooth and more friendly tone instead of a punchy and very crunchy authoritarian cutting tone

Smooth and more friendly that stays clear it my ideal
And the only experience with ceramic p-up's i have i hated they were gibson explorer p-ups horrrible.

the cold sweat is extremely clear
but it has a stiffer and more aggressive response
I don't think you would dislike it, but since you prefer smoothness, then get the rebel yell  :D
