today i got my us masters hornet with a set of holy divers - i have to play it a lot before expressing my judgement - and my epi les paul gothic with a mixed set, warpig bridge and pi90 neck...
the warpig sounds even better than in my RG. more focused, punchier... and with plenty of warpig tone i learned to love!
pig90 is... well... i've played it just for half an hour but it blew me away after the first 10 seconds... thick as a brick (little citation.. :)), hot as hell (a perfect match for the warpig) and very articulated, as i like neck pickups... middle position is absolutely the best i've ever heard. i have to play it with my tube amp to tell you the whole story, but in my PODxt it seems to have also a really nice clean sound, HUGE and percussive...
i feared that the warpig would have been darker in my les paul, but it's simply perfect!
tomorrow i'll get my S470 with a brand new painkiller set... :) nice weekend, i'd say.
