Well, it's essentially a totally different pickup now, IIRC.

Definately TO, I've revoiced it(as described in earlier thread) with input from Steve Stevens..........whilst it's not as hot as your MM it's no slouch and has a slight mid notch wound in to really punch through.Put it this way, despite the work we're doing on Steve's signature model, he isn't taking his 'diver out!

Hey Tim

What is this about a new holy diver? I am pretty sure I have a holy diver which was fitted by feline guitars. I dunno why but i never felt it to have enough edge or the right sound, it's quite close tho. I'm mostly into Dokken, Skid Row, White Lion (80s hard rock/metal).
I don't suppose maybe the new Holy Diver would be much of an improvement over the old one. I never see anyone talking about it here lol
Anyway Im deadly interested in maybe buying one for my guitar, is Steve Stevens using the new one or the olds ones?
Hope you can help.

Cheers

The new Diver sits between where the old Diver was and where the new Cold Sweat is. Fills in that gap pretty well.
Did we ever get to the bottom of which pickup we put in your gtr Sean?

Steve has one of the new ones loaded. The old ones were ceramic, the revoiced one is Alnico V with a hotter wind and reduced coil offset. It's a cracker!

Hey

My humbucker has 13.72 DC resistance, its the Holy Diver alright, I just checked on the product spec page.

Is the new holy diver for sale yet? Im pretty keen to get one, will you sell direct Tim? Can it scream more? Also does it have more edge?

Cheers
