I wonder if he keeps em like that or if they were pulled out for the shoot. I don't care -- if that's how he treats 'em, more power to him. He can afford to replace 'em, I guess.

What was very interesting were the scale ship models behind the display glasses; I would like to know more about them!

well, it's true, they are his and he can do what he likes with them, doesn't stop me cringing!  he's kept the '54 strat all original, but he just drops it when he's finished talking about it!  i wouldn't treat a cheap copy like that.  but, he does still have them all, they do seem to survive.  still more gentle than pete townsend!

I suppose he regards them as tools and not objects for reverence. Or maybe he was in a hurry to get to the doughnut shop?

In a way, I wish I could have that kind of cavalier attitude to guitars... but I was cringing and laughing nervously when that Sky guitar went over sideways.  And when he banged the V into 4 or 5 other guitars.

I don't even want to think about what carnage the off-camera noises were caused by...

The moral is, Do not show off your highly valuable collection when drunk.

By the way does anyone else think he looks like Elvis?

 Yeah, Fat Elvis.   Maybe even Tortelvis.

I love the way he wears shades (Elvis shades) and leather strides in his "home" studio.

I treat my gear like that, they're just tools at the end of the day, albiet expensive ones, I don't really go in for the mystical attitude to instruments a lot of musicians have. They're more robust than folk tend to realise!

Course, I might treat a 54 strat a little differently , but to Yngwie, I guess a 54 strat is cheaper than one of my guitars is to me...

He probably does that to age 'em better

Proper relicing... haha

I think some of us do mollycoddle our gear too much, i certainly am with my PRS.

Though im not that bothered about the cheaper instruments.

Surely he'd have enough to at least afford some decent stands? :P
