Did you not hear that Hetfield was rejected as an endorser by Gibson?
That's why he is back/still with ESP.

He said in an interview in Gitarre & Bass (Germany) that it made him realize, how great things had been going with ESP and he thought that Gibson was made at him because of the Explorer/MX thing.

Wow - I would have thought that was a bad move by Gibson
No matter how mad they were about the Explorer thing - to turn away a high profile opportunity like that

Bad move by Gibson... I would consider it if it was a Gibson (well maybe not at the price)

It has got me thinking of doing a limited edition run for 2010
Maybe just ten Lions of a special spec.........with a tasty small motif on the headstock
Fancy flametop or quilt in a choice of colours and choice of pickups (BKP of course)
Maybe Emerald, Ruby , Saffire Blue, Amethist (purple) and amber

I like the idea but I'm not able to talk about how much possible this would be...

I might say that if I were asking you to build me a Lion I would like my specs (woods, colors, etc), beside it, probably I would be ok with the motif in the headstock, being it tasty and small, of course :lol:
The guys going on a luthier are after a very specific thing...

Would be cool if you make a basic spec, that can be changed /upgraded on personal choice... Like someone wanting a $$$$$$$$ 5A Flame Koa top :lol:
As I said, if happened to 10 guys of this forum (or at least some guys of this forum) make this edition happens, would be trully epic!

But I may not be able to attend the run, sorry :(

Thats ok - thats what a custom order is for - for getting a specific spec
The Ltd Edition would be something else - a special run of a model
