Tychobrahe Parapedal
« on: March 10, 2009, 09:11:49 PM »
so a while i was looking at this...
http://www.chicagoiron.com/

Im tempted to get a DIY parachute kit for a cry baby chassis or medicine bawl chassis i have kicking around.
anybody used one of these? or indeed the original tychobrahe parapedal?

the description of it sounds awesome, im used to your average wah but this thing looks like it would do that wah job and add a little something special to the sound.

there is a few clips on youtube. seems like it does have a massive range. the clips on the chicago iron site are cool. they have some weird trippy vibe to them. its weird how it goes so low that it pretty much make the output silent.

it's famous because Tony Iommi used one in Sabbath.

never heard one in the flesh, but they have a following and fetch plenty of dosh on ebay.

yeah i read that. seems to do some fancy stuff though, or have its own unique sound.
im tempted.
im also tempted to stick with my crybaby from hell, and invest in another DD-3 and play with two delay pedals, see what wild vibes i can get from that.
