Cool Obscure Boutique Pedals In The UK
« on: October 12, 2005, 06:30:21 PM »
I just found this link while searching for HBE pedals in the UK:

http://www.gntguitars.com/

It has some pretty cool obscure pedals, if that kinda thing takes your fancy. They have the Euthymia fuzz, which ive always been tempted by...and was sadly spurned when stompboxx.com (a great shop) closed down.
The large print giveth, and the small print taketh away...

ah yeah, nice site, but us UK-ers would have to pay customs charges    and all that bollocks. the joy of british shops is that the list price is all we have to pay - no hidden charges!

As well as pricey boutique stuff, there are a few "hobbyist" type pedal makers out there too. I recently bought a fuzz pedal from ebay called the "Electro Grid Fuzz", made by the guy who runs the project guitar parts website (purplegothbunny on ebay IIRC). It's a really nice fuzz with good control (gain, volume, a mid sweep, a bass switch and a bias control which takes the fuzz from creamy to farty) and good price. I think I won it for around £50. I think there's a guy making fuzz factory clones as well, although last time I did a search I couldn't find any of his stuff.

I've made many pedals, I'm always open to talk shop (as long as this isn't considered spam)
