if you have £30k you're probably not going to spend it all on a £30k PRS. But if you have so much money that you can't reasonably spend it (and that you're making a ton in interest etc.), then i guess you might as well.

This takes the biscuit though!i feel uneasy about gigging any of my guitars.. they all have sentimental attachment, and have been modified, so in a way are all unique instruments.

I didnt take the bass at first but when i said what i did he insisted i go fetch it to show him (much to the annoyance of a whole queue of people :P )
Nobody's making a ton in interest now! Might as well keep your cash in a shoebox under the bed.
That's a great story Wez. I really respect people that take time to talk to others - it obviously helps that he is also passionate about guitar making but he didn't have to do what he did. Respect indeed.
A mate gigs both his dads 59' Standards. And why not, that's what they're for. And battered guitars look better 8)

I would be upset if a guitar broke due to someone else being a dorkus and damaging the guitar, but it's the price of admission, really. You take the stuff out and use it and it gets ... used! LOL
you wouldn't use the meat knife on crusty bread but, equally, the serrated knife and straight edge knife aren't going to go through raw meat as quickly
He does nowadays. He took his Dad's '56 Junior to his first ever gig at a school talent show without asking, he learned afterwards
