Is there a post anywhere that shows the distribution of pickups sold just curious as there seem to be a few which dominate the posts and elsewehere (other web).

I am really pleased to see that there is a true recognition that for some things there is no substitute for a skilled craftsman we are organic and imperfect and the strive for the digital cnc world needs to take more of a backseat. Keep up the good work.

I'd be interested to know about this too. I have never heard anyone talk about the Emerald.

I think it tends to go in cycles. Cold sweats have been popular lately, Nailbombs still are but less so than when I joined the board. Bacause people use suggested pickups so often its always going to be that case, and it becomes self fulfilling. There are plenlty of people who have Emeralds, but they are either not that vocal or there aren't enough of them to outweigh the NB and CS voices.

No, I don't think there is.  As Ailean says, it does seem to go in cycles and most pickup models have had their "day in the sun" over the years.

But there's never quite been an Emerald craze, somehow.... The single-coil equivalent would probably be the Sultans.

BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM
