The Download lineup is absolutely superb, but i literally have exams just before and after it, so forget that.

However, this new thing Sonisphere seems to be stalking me, putting more and more of my fave bands on the lineup as it goes along....

Metallica, NIN, Anthrax, Machine Head, Alice in Chains, Anthrax, Mastodon, and John Sykes...

Now, as NIN and Metallica are playing I imagine Dillinger Escape Plan might... Which really would seal the deal.. However this is £160 for the weekend, which is just an extortionate price!

Anyone thinking of going?
My last FM.
ESP Horizon NTII.
ESP Viper Camo.
ENGL Screamer.

I believe Tony (Transcend) might be going.

I'm going to Download for Faith no more then Hellfest the week after. Then Bloodstock. Then Damnation.

So I'm not gonna spend the obscene asking price, the surcharge for the privilage of actually getting into the campsite the day before it starts, he twenty odd bands it'll end up with, most of whom I've seen umpteen times.

The UKs rock festival scene really needs to sort itself out. I wish Faith No More were playing somewhere that wasn't therwise full of turgid mince, bar Clutch, ZZ Top and Down.

No wonder people look to Europe.

I want to go to ATP for Sleep, Electric Wizard and The Jesus Lizard but none of my mates want to go and I refuse to go to a festival by myself.

Just bought my ticket for this, going with a ladyfriend :D

Anyone else going?

Well excited to see...

*Heaven and Hell
*Anthrax (love them)
*Skindred (love them)
*The Wildhearts
*$%&#ed Up (love them)
*Rolo Tomassi
*Metallica (just cos I've never seen them)
*Nine Inch Nails (part of me is hoping Dillinger will get added to the bill too due to some bands pulling out)
*Lamb of God
*Killing Joke (love them)
*Mastodon (love them)

the rest of the line up isn't too shabby either. It's no hellfest but it is certainly better than the majority of the Download 20098 line-up. Dir En Grey anyone?

Paddy
GREAT GOOGILY MOOGILY!

I'm meant to be going but I'm not sure I'm gonna be willing to pay the price
