ST-200 Turbo Tuner
« on: March 20, 2009, 08:18:25 PM »
Just got one today!

OMG this thing is EVERYTHING ive been missing in a tuning pedal.

i think the Boss TU-2 will shortly become a makeshift hammer of some sort.

I'm fairly sure most tuners are better than the TU-2.

Apart from Behringer. $%&# them right in the ear.

i dunno man,  the TU-2 is pretty standard. and i never liked any of the korg stomp boxes, and i never wanted to get into racks.

i while ago i was tempted by a peterson strobostomp but those things a big expensive lumps, and i hear they have weak displays.

my TU-2 never got my G string right. sounds rude! but its no joke.

ive almost got my pedals sorted now. just waiting on a chicago iron tychobrahe parapedal clone.

im excited!

also, my soldano is now in manchester!
and my BKP miracle man set is at the post office!!!

its like christmass come early

so glad i went for it. i even tried to smash the screen already... either way, if it could break, it was gonna break... probably when some dude runs over it and kick it off stage or something (i already had a wah pedal killed that way).
anyway, it took a beating its pretty feckin accurate! im gonna donate my old tuner to our other guitarist... which reminds me, i need to fix his guitar up.

the ST is just tough, doest have a big screen to get broken, and the one it has is hard as hell. its a proper strobe too, but not huge and heavy like a strobostomp, and it tracks note changes like you wont believe! so it small, hard, fast and accurate... oh my word! ive been looking for something that ticks all those boxes for a while, i mean, its only a tuner but when your playing and you maybe don't have monitors and so on and so on, i just needed something i could trust to be accurate. My TU-2 didnt do that and other stuff i tried was either too expensive, too bulky or not bulky enough.

thats about it. i guess getting this excited over a tuner is dumb. but whatever! tomorrow ill get excited about my BKP's! expect photos once those are in my guitar!

As well as being really well made-it's accurate within .02 cents :o ... and has super fast tracking as this vid shows compared to a Peterson http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8bY9H7ec6_0

its definatly good, but maybe because i am used to the peterson screen - i saw that working best... and it is ever so slightly more accurate

Wow, that tracking is mental, might have to look into one of these if my pitchblack ever dies.

This looks good. My cheapo Korg takes ages to recognise what string I'm tuning and drives me mad.
