Did your nephew have any comments on it? I wonder what new players think when they see old beat up guitars like this.

Do they see the vibe, or an old beat up guitar? heheh!

My nephew is 7! He loved it and thought it was an 'old' guitar.

I really do think I might buy it but need to sell the old tele first. If anyone on here buys it before me I will be very, very unhappy!

This thread has just made me rip out the neck 'bucker from my CV Squier and hunt down an Esquire wiring diagram.

Ian - what have you done?????!!!!!!

Sorry Dave!

The other bonus on the Esquire is that any pickup retrofit will be approximately half the price!

I probably am if most people are - 6'2" although I'm a lover, not a fighter!

Anyway - I have put my tele up on eBay, my mind is made up and I'll be looking at putting a deposit down on the tele soon.

Haha, I'm only 5'6" (but I have a very low centre of gravity, so like a Weeble, I wobble but I don't fall down...  :P )

Good luck, hope you get it!  :)

I have noticed that GV don't seem to be turning over so many guitars on their site recently - the recession bites, I guess.

I have spotted that as well. The CS strat I was interested in took an age to sell - I think about 8 months. I'm hoping they don't sell the tele until I have some £ in my pocket! I think it would be rude not to ask for a discount as well!

There's no shame in being 5"6, Matthew Bellamy is 5"6, Bono is 5"6, Thom Yorke is 5"6, and I'm 5"6.

Cheers Dave - I'm now going through the 'god I hope they don't sell it before I get some cash' phase. This is the most terrible feeling for a guitar lover!
