Provided that the electronics (incl pickups) are okay, then yeah I'd agree!

Good point Roo!

Cheers mate - I will be giving it a try plugged in before buying. I'm 100% sure it will be fine - it's the acoustic tone I look for in an electric before even plugging it in, this one has a very nice acoustic tone. My current tele is quite thin compared to it.

I'm convinced that good acoustic tone nearly always equals a great electric tone. Am I wrong?

This is a tele we're talking about, though, and they never sound good  (I kid! I'm not a fan of teles, but that looks like a really nice example. I think it's some of the best relic-ing that I've seen, and it's a nice colour, too)

Fender really do have the nicest Blue finishes outside of PRS Blue Matteo, don't they?

Just called them. £100.00 discount, deposit on and pick up at the weekend. Just hope my other tele sells now!

Wahey!  Result!  :)

Worst case, you can trade your Tele in?

I must admit that I didn't ask them that! I tried it before with them and they only offered about £1300 for it so I think that's a no go!

That's very efficient of them! Just need to speak to my lovely lady now and tell her the deal is done!

Nice one, Ian!   :)

It is impressive how quickly they update their website.... but a bit depressing when you've been watching something and it suddenly goes "out of stock".
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds

It is indeed impressive. I know the feeling of depression about something going out of stock as well. The CS strat I had my eye on for a while went out of stock whilst I was trying to decide whether or not to sell my tele. I was very gutted when it did go as I knew I should have gone for it. I learned not to make the same mistake twice!

Nice one - not quite my cup of tea, but I've been watching with great interest - and with fingers crossed after you decided to go for it yesterday... :D

Would this have anything to do with a Gibson 339 Philly?
