All the metal angular guitars (though I like V's and Explorers), and also any guitars with sharp edges or points (Minarik Guitars especially make a lot of these).

WTF?

Were those guitars drawn in MS Paint!??!

They dont look real. At all.

But yeah, most BC riches - very silly, ESP Fs as well.

I also dont like Vs. King Vs are better, but still irritating.

I dont like les pauls or SGs, asthetically or for playing.

Or PRSs, again, in both categories.

And, of course, teles.

Actually, about the only shapes I do really like are strats, superstrats (fav) and explorers (2nd).

I really quite like the ESP F - Especially the F7 with the sanskrit inlay. Really cool guitar.

Theres jus something about it that makes it look like a goth kid - its trying to be all mean and tough and evil but really it wet the bed till it was 14, has never had a girlfriend and is terrified of pretty much everything.

Actually the reason I like it is cos I think its the only one of the "metal" guitars that doesn't have that image!

I mean, I think this looks great:

Ah, I didn't realise that was the ESP "F"!

I really, really like that shape - it's one of the very few "metal"/Floyd/black hardware guitars I'd seriously consider buying, even though I'd look an utter fool holding one.
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

I love most of the classic 70s BC Rich guitars, apart from the seagull
Bitch
Mockingbird
Eagle
Warlock
Stealth
were all great looking guitars
Didnt like the Wave much and the ST3 and gunslingers were just (super)strat a likes - so nothing to dislike

I loathe the Virgin, Beast and pretty much all the newer stuff

I like Neil Moser the man  (designed the  Rich Bitch) but many of the recent Moser designs almost have too many curly bits for their own good

I like the Dean ML, but hate the Razorback
Just like the BC Rich beast it is way too cumbersome

I am a big flying V fan and also like the Rhoads and King V too

Explorers and Ibanez Iceman are firm faves too

I loathe 335s - not for the shape but for how impossible they are to work on electrically - keyhole surgery through the F Hole
Put a rear access cover on them and they would be a joy.

There's two version, the cheaper one with fewer vertices. And the more expensive one (see pic). Then you have the G and the GT with H-S or H-H configurations.

One's like the F400FM are the cheaper looking model.

The is probably the least attractive guitar ive ever seen!

Agreed.  That is truly bizarre !!

That's the first guitar which has actually made me laugh out loud when I first saw the picture !

I remember those, didn't realise they were so cheapo!

I wonder what Roo would make of that.... talk about "bulbous bits"....  :?

It kind of looks like the "elephant man" of the guitar world - the headstock is all swollen and deformed, and as for that lower horn - LOL!  The only thing that could make that guitar worse would be to tele-ify the top horn (which would then match the dubious sexuality of the lower horn) and add the foul tele bridge and control plate. Then, truly, the most hideous guitar in the world would have been created.
I love the title of that ebay sale: "MUST SEE"   !!!!! Now my eyes burrrrnnn and I can't see!!!

Yeah, that was a bit upsetting - please don't link anything like that again jibidy!!

Does anyone remember those dreadful things that were on display next to Felines Stand at the 2007 LGS? I wish I could remember the name, they were so bad. Red Plasticy dragons and castles. I mean did the bloke behind those designs actually expect they would sell? Talk about out of touch!  :x
ummm, perhaps my memory is at fault, but wasn't the PRS stand next to Feline at LGS 07? :)

Joking aside, did you mean those really weird flying-V derived things with arched tops & F-holes?  I can't remember the name either but didn't see anyone paying any attention to them all day - I was haf tempted to go over there & ask to try one out of sympathy.... :)

They were I presume they were aimed at young metal heads but missed the target completely. They had all these castles, dragons carved or molded into the body shapes. No one was playing them. Because I spent most of my day either on the Bkp or Feline stand I noticed that no one was stopping to have a go on them.
I wonder if Afghan or Feline can remember who they were. Its worth a google search for them if we can remember the name. I don't think I've ever seen anything so foul in a guitar before!

The Flying V ones were really nice guitars made by Case Guitars - Tim borrowed one for a while - they all had BK pickups on them (with a wierd back height adjust option.  I know the one he tried used the hipshot Grand Piano bridge.  They didn't have anything molded into them (they were opposite Feline and behind BK at LGS2007).

Put some surgical tubing on the shafts of the pots and switch to get them out and through the F-holes and back in with minimal fuss.

Roo, if you don't like designs of the fifties and you don't like pointy stuff either, better stop playing ANY electric guitar. Apart from the pointy and horny designs, all guitar shapes are designed in the fifties. Les Pauls, Strats, Teles, V's, Explorers etc.

No they wasn't the ones I had in mind Phil. I do remember that they had some nice stuff. If you were standing on Feline's stand, looking towards Case Guitars, the ones I remember for their insipient slap inspiring design, were located next door to your left.  :x
