Just wandering how these sound different on semis?
Didn't lots of players used to swap out the archtop tailpieces for stopbars?

Stop bars: more sustain and mass, strings feel stiffer, you don't have to bend too far for a note up.
Tailpieces: more jangle, swapable for a Bigsby, strings feel lighter, easier to bend but you have to bend further.
