Yes, I think that all the BKP single coils will achieve that tone, some with more attack than others.

To me, 'bell like' implies a single coil neck tone that has nice attack and a rich lower midrange. It is almost vowel-like in its tone, with a  nice, glassy smoothness that is chimey, but not brittle.

As TO said, BKP's will get you there. From your post I think you are looking for classic Strat and if that is the case then Apache's will get you there. Think classic early Strat vintage vibe. HJM has posted some great comparisons in the players forum. The Apache's are 1950's tone and Mother's Milk are more late 1960's ( I believe though I shall be corrected soon enough  :)  )See what you think of the player's posts. Whatever BKP's you choose, you wont regret it.

Some reckon that bell-like tone is the one from any of the in-between sounds of an old Strat.

Bell-bottom Blues ( no pun intended ) by E.C. is a clear example.

I call the sound from the neck pickup, the bell tone.
Its a chime!

The "in between" sounds,  often wrongly refered to as "out-of phase" is called the "Quack".

Go for the Apache's 100 percent, I use them and they are FANTASTIC!

The best Vintage strat sound available,  APACHE.

If you listen to "Down ti the waterline" on my website, I am using the apache's, Middle and bridge.

I'd agree with Stefan: Apache's are the true strat mcoy - real classic (and not just Shadows) strat sound.
BKPS: Milks, P90s, Apaches, Mississippi Queens, Mules, PG Blues, BG FP 50s, e.60s strat custom set
