What do you think I could sell this for?
« on: March 24, 2009, 02:29:53 PM »

I have this original V1 Guv'nor pedal, it's got all the case candy (see pic)

I've seen ebay auctions requesting up to 499 US$ BIN price - this is a bit crazy, but what do you think I can take for the pedal realistically?

I'd just put it on ebay and see what happens, start the auction on a Friday or Saturday night, don't have a reserve and list it in several catagories and you will sell it for exactly what it's worth.
Always helps to put the ebay link on a few forums as well.....

Good advice, and don't forget to tick the ebay listing box for visibility in the USA and Canada !

Is it a made in UK one or a Korean one?

If it's UK and mint I'll take it  ;)

Best that I have seen a UK-one got for was almost £100 (£90 something) - there are a couple out there at silly prices but they are not selling. Mine cost me about £45 I seem to remember. Would agree that £60 is more realistic.

If you flog it to Dave just make sure that you charge him at least £100 - he has far too many pedals anyway by the sound of it....

How many do you want Twinfan?

(We could all sell him our original Guvnors!)

Mine's not actually for sale, and it's not mint by any stretch of the imagination! But I haven't used it for years, I just don't tend to go down that route anymore.

As a pedal (it's the only "dirt" pedal I've ever owned) how do you guys rate these things? Mine did sterling service for several years as my solo boost in front of a Laney 50W m/v valve combo - it did a good job, but I never really questioned it... How good were these things?

(Sorry for the slight hijack Hunter )

i'd try to sell it back to marshall. tell them you want 5 grand or you'll make the photo of jim marshall in the instruction manual public.

disclaimer: i'm joking, obviously. just in case the online police try to track me down or something daft.
