its a very different beast to the v90. the v90 is more like a superstrat. the '83 is alot more traditional V feel, albeit with a slightly wider neck and lower frets/action. phil commented to me tonight that the stop bar and tom are mounted close to the body for more sustain.
although the v90 has a much much tighter sound, the default pickup is nowhere near so good as the dirty fingers in this one.
being used to playing my feline alot recently, the fret positions on the '83 just fall into place. i have to concentrate a bit more with the v90
both fine instruments - what a load of rubbish people say about 80s gibsons being all bad.
