double screwed??
« on: March 27, 2009, 08:48:44 PM »
heard some people have double screwed versions of pickups, how does this effect the pickups? increased output and excentuated bass? would be interested to hear from those that do, esp. painkillers and miracle men.... cheers

Not saying it's negligible but it does cause a slight difference but unless you're are sharp earred to hear a dog whistle I don't think it's that noticeable.

But generally yes, double screws = more output..

I think.

it can give your a bit more bass, but it also means you can adjust the eq by offsetting the poles bias more towards the bridge or neck
