my mum was ill so i couldnt go get my amp, its being shipped to me next week.

i feel like sounds great got away scott free with all the offensive things they accused me off, and how they tried to screw over my consumer rights. i still ain't happy. hating on sounds great is my new hobby.

Frankly I will now think twice before using them after hearing your experience, especially if they aren't that hot on price. I'm not against paying a little more to get what I want, but there is a limit.

Sounds Great do seem very expensive, as everyone has been saying.  I don't think I've ever bought anything from them except a Voodoo Lab pedal.  And Dmoney's horror story is very offputting.

Anyway, thanks for the heads-up about the Guitar Village sale, Ian.  As Steve said, they used to send out flyers but I don't remember seeing one for a while.

Exactly.  I've used them quite a bit on the past but their pricing isn't as good as it used to be, and the stock they're getting in isn't my taste:

Fanos
Suhrs
Kranks
Caparisons
Diezels
etc

I used to get a flyer for the Guitar Village sale. I haven't been there for some months. It is like an aladdins cave *

* one hopes that the use of such terminology is not offensive to anyone. You never know these days so I thought I'd get the apology out the way before I lose the TV series I don't make.

You should get a job as a writer Steve, that was class!

Have you been there since it has been expanded? The shop is now more than twice the size - I reckon about 3 times bigger. Much nicer to walk around as the guitars are no longer stood three deep against the walls!

I last went in November last year when I had a meeting in Farnham- I was suited up and it didn't feel right but nevertheless it was an enjoyable interlude in a busy day.

The Taylor acoustics could be worthy at 30% off.

Yes Ailean, I was thinking that.A friend recently bought a Big Baby and it plays so damn well. I have played a few and the necks were fantastic and so I am considering a new acoustic- but then again I have just bought a new car so maybe I wont.

my mum has an old one, but i never play it, its action is about the height of the forth rail bridge. Actually I'd like an acoustic, just i don't want to have to pay for one...
