So, perhaps two of you will remember me from my issue with the broken humbucker and looking for a replacement. Well, my mississippi queen is doing quite nicely in the bridge, but I've the problem of being perpetually curious. Keeping in mind the fact that my current queen has an AV magnet, what could I expect from moving it to the neck and ordering another queen, wound to Pig-90 levels to go in the bridge? Also, would it be possible to get a series connection considering that my current queen is a braided two, or is that out of the question?
Couple of things to keep in mind:
My guitar's body seems to be universally bored, but I really don't want to go through the process of mounting an actual P-90, since I'd have to drill and find a custom scratchplate.
I'm not putting any humbuckers in this guitar. At all. This is my single-coil only guitar.
Totally unrelated:
I'm assembling my next guitar, and am indecisive as of whether to use a Nailbomb or a Warpig. How do they do in moderate, non-metal applications? What woods are they best in? (I'm not sure of a body wood yet, but the neck will be birdseye maple and the fretboard rosewood.)
