I'm not young or handosme & I often make very bad decisions about my gear. I still can't set my vintage trem properly even though many people (including some very nice guys here) have literally talked me through it step by step.

I love Abba, Bon Jovi & John Mayer
I claim to be a blues player but usually end up just widdling mindlessly. I hate the fact that my new guitar wingman can pick up stuff much easier than I can (lucky git). I'm under the thumb & love fenders

enough already?

My shocking secret.  I've not picked up a guitar in over a year, and this week, when I finally have some time to myself (wife and kids visiting inlaws for the week), I pick it up and withing an hour have a nasty blister on one of my fingers.  :(

Does anyone supply spray-on callouses?

That is truly shocking! What was the first thing you played after all that time AWOL?
I think I hate being indecisive.

Where do I start ?

Over 1000 posts and I don't own any BKP's !!

I like Depeche Mode ! (and Girls Aloud too !), and loads of other completely "uncool" bands.

I never, ever practice scales or theory, or "technique".

All the technical players (such as Vai, Satriani etc) who seem to be almost universally adored on this forum  - they bore me to tears.

I'm 43 and I still leap around on stage like a teenager !!

Don't touch anything though or you'll be back to square one.

:D I'm pretty sure Flea did this in the early years of the Chili Peppers.

gads you people are horrible,

okay here's my shocking confession, I'm terribly indecisive when it comes to spending moolah on gear....

I bought a Legra guitar, which was $%&#ing awesome, but then I changed my mind on the specs I wanted and paid for a new body, so its like i bought 1 1/2 guitars, but after i said "okay this is it no more changes,"....err I'm still asking to change some things...so basically9 months and 1 1/2 guitars later...I'm still not sure what i want!

Bob is making good money off me though, if I had a customer as annoying as me I'd tell him to go somewhere else  :P

I cant help it - I was raised on bon jovi, queen, alice cooper, iron maiden, dire straits, deep purple, rainbow, def lepard, whitesnake, that sort of thing. Ages 0 to ~12, this stuff was the background music to my life!

My vocalist, whom I'm always chiding for listening to gay pseudo-metal (e.g. bullet for my valentine) was rather ammused to discover this as well.

I think my fondness for portishead and saul williams surprised him even more though.

Those that know me know that I loves me some metal, but also have learned not to try to predict what I will and wont like ;)
